Hi,

I'm looking for a simple MPEG2 editor for cutting out commercials.

The requirements are 1) it's gotta have a batch feature that takes a
file or command line arguments consisting of in-out points, and 2) it
simply cuts and merges and does not reencode and transcode.

Basically I have an xml file that BeyondTV generates from their
SmartSkip program. I want to use this information to cut out
commercials. I can extract the data from this xml file and convert it
to any format that the MPEG2 editor accepts.

I appreciate any suggestions.

You might want to check out VideoReDo at:
www.VideoReDo.com Frame accurate and pays
attention to PTS data (for lip-synch). It is very fast,
also.

Luck;

VideoReDo's feature page lists support for the "BeyondTV"
"SmartSkip" files. Not much info available at the Womble site.
Are those files supported?

Luck;
Ken

P.S. Womble's MPEG editor has been great from all accounts
and certainly has led the way.
