I've sent this up for discussion on the Wormhole forum for Battery Pack but
have had no responses for a while so I thought I'd present it here.
I'm encountering a problem with the Power Buttons feature of BatteryPackPro.
(aside from the upgrade fee issue which still rankles).
Here goes...
My hardware = Ipaq 5555, relevant programs concerned are Battery Pack
Pro,Windows Media Player (V9.0 build 14053), and to a lesser extent
AudiblePlayer though that is not (I think) part of the problem.
I've always used the standard "button" commands to assign a couple of
programs to buttons anyway. Specifically I use one button to start Media
Player and a second button to start AudiblePlayer. I also have a button
assignment within MediaPlayer to toggle (blank) the screen.
With this tried and true setup I've always been able to blank the screen
whether listening to either music or audio books.
I upgraded from Battery Pack to Battery Pack Pro specifically for the Power
Buttons feature. I thought I could simply enhance my already handy use of
buttons.
I'm finding however that Power Buttons seems to take away Media Player's
screen blanking (toggle) ability and does not have blanking as an option
itself.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
I tried setting the button used by Media Player for blanking to NONE on both
Tap and Hold within Power Buttons but this still does not allow Media Player
to access the button for blanking.
One possible solution would be to make Screen Blank an additional function
for Power Buttons.
