Does anyone here know if the new ATI HDTV Wonder card allows you to
capture video in HDTV resolution through it's svideo input? The
literature I've read on it so far doesn't mention this at all, and
instead boasts about the card's ability to capture HDTV broadcast
singals using the antennam, .. yet I'm noticing that there's an svideo
port on the card, which surely must have some purpose.

If you can in fact capture HDTV resolution video through the card's
svideo port, then what is the native format that it captures in? Does
it use some proprietary ATI codec, or is it uncompressed YUV, .. or
some variant of MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 ? Also, what speed processor would I
need in order to be able to capture at the maximu HDTV resolution?

Lastly, I'vr read that the ATI card does not play well with certain
Nvida chipset based video display adapters. I currently have a
generic card that uses the Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 chipset. Has anyone
here tested the ATI HDTV Wonder card with this particular video
display adapter? If so, .. what is the verdict as far as
compatibility goes?

Thanks in advance,
- yvan

I believe that's S-Video Out, not In, but I might be wrong.

The ATI HDTV Wonder got some bad reviews... it may not be ready for
prime time... I would wait for the next release...
