Remote Desktop: /console switch not recognized.

I says that you can specify the /console switch in the
Computer/IP field of the Options dialog when establishing
an remote desktop connection...

I tried that, but get an error message saying that
computername was not recognized. I was able to connect
to console using the command prompt method, but I'd like
to save the connection as a .rdp file...

Anyone have any ideas why I am getting an error?

You must specify the console option in the command line (i.e., mstsc
/v:computername /console). I don't think the main client supports it
in GUI mode yet...

The RDP client for Windows 2003 does support this /console option in
the GUI because we use it a lot.

The about box for my RDP client shows the version as "Shell Version
5.2 (Build Number 3790)". However only terminal services running on
Windows 2003 server actually allow console connections as far as I'm
aware.

If you don't have that version of the RDP client you can get it off
the Windows 2003 Server CDs, or its also available via the MS download
sites.
