I second Carlo's suggestions. I personally use PocketMac, and it works
really well, plus it does so via USB, BlueTooth and WiFi, which is nice.

PocketMac, and, I believe Markspace's missing link stuff, link with
both Microsoft Entourage or the iCal/Mail.app combo, and Pocketmac also
integrates nicely with iSync. So now, when I sync my iPaq, all my
contacts and diary entries are auto synchronised with the Mac, my
SonyEriccsson T610, iPod, and my .mac webspace (allowing me to view
calendar etc on the web from any machine). It is all rather neat and
seamless.

It isn't without it's problems, though. One of the main ones the OP is
likely to experience is that many apps are provided as PC exectuable
that link into ActiveSync. PocketMac comes with a little program that
can extract CAB files from many of these, but not all. Fortunately,
many developers will send you the CABs if you ask, or have them
somewhere on their site, but still, it can be a hassle.

That, so far, is the only reall issue I've come across with using a Mac
and a PocketPC.
