Studio 7 and 16:9 Transitions

I have recently started to tape using 16:9 Format. I view using a Sony
KLV30XBR900 LCD TV. All of the transitions have a blank screen lasting
about a 30th of a second at the beginning and end of each transition.
The blank only appears on the Sony set and not on my older CRT sets. My
question is how can I correct this situation and does a newer version of
Studio address this problem?

TIA Bob

The latest version is Studio 9 Plus. I see it on sale in Frys on sale
for as little 70 dollars. You are so behind in versions I am
surprised it even works. Sounds like you probably have older hardware
also. But to awnser you question the latest version supports 5.1
digital sound. 16:9 support (if you shoot it in 16:9). Picture in
picture and green screen effects amoung others. Check the web site.

Thanks for the information about the latest version of Studio. But can
you tell me if editing with the newest version will cure my problem with
blank frames befor and after a transition? It only happens on the Sony
and only with tapes videoed in 16:9. My old edited tapes in standard (I
don't know the ratio numbers) format play perfectly on all my TVs. My
computer is 'only' 3 years old. Bearly configured <grin>.
