Removing analog date/time stamp

I've captured some old analog vhs-c tapes in dv format. The analog tapes
had the date/time recorded on them. Is there a way to remove the date/time
stamp from the digital video that's now on my computer?

Blur it or mask it. That is what you see on commercial TV.
