I've been transferring some VHS to DVD using my camera's firewire thru &
MyDVD's (4.5) cheap & cheerful direct to DVD mode for speed & convenience. I
noticed after about 1 1/2 hr the audio sync is out just noticeably; it's
fine earlier on. Some reading has led me to think it could be the (laptop)
HD not quite keeping up with the video throughput and dropping frames while
the audio records OK; in which case a defrag, which I'm doing now, might
help, But is this one of the cases where disabling the preview screen in the
capture software might also help, or is this only an issue when digitising
through capture cards rather than firewire transfers?
