Hi,
We have a Netgear FVL328 Router and the Netgear Safenet VPN client
software setup on an XP Pro laptop SP1.
We can connect our VPN fine. I can ping all servers and do nslookup.
everything works fine. We have an LMHOSTS file also.
The problem is that once the VPN is connected the laptop still classes
it self as offline, when really it isnt. And when i try to connect to
any of the servers or synchronize, it asks for a user name and
password. When I enter my username and password. It replys We have
tried using your name and password but a domain controller could not
be found to verify.
I try to use the domain administrator username and password which
appears to work fine, but the synchroniziation fails and gives this
message. 'Mutiple connections to a server or shared resource by the
same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed.'
What does that actually mean. I'm really confused why its not
aceppting my user name and password.
I personally abhor offline files and for all my laptop users, I set them up
with SecondCopy 2000 from www.centered.com - cheap, does the job really
well.
