I have a remote user running Windows XP that is unable to reach the file server (using VPN) on the corporate network. When she types the servername in the run comand, it asks for her username and password as it should. When she types in her info, it thinks a moment then asks for it again.

I have made sure that she has permissions to the file server and the shares she needs to access. I used an XP Home machine that I have deliberately kept off the network to test. I am able to open all the shares using her name and password.

I am sure the VPN is fine because she would receive an error rather than an auth. prompt if it didn't. I'm thinking she may have a setting or something causing the problem but am out of ideas as to where to look.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.
