Question for the experts:

Since the Pinnacle dv500 only works with premiere 6.5, is there a way to
have the best of both worlds with premiere pro?

That is capture with 6.5 and the editing magic in Pro?

You should use Scenalyzer Live for capture. You may not get analogue out
to a monitor or realtime effects in pro.

pinnacle dropped support after pp6x for dv500. probably a strategic
move to sell their own nle edition. pp1.5 can use the 1394 port of
the dv500 but you wont get any benefit of the boards hardware
acceleration.
