Vista to Windows 7

I had several applications on my Vista which I restored from Windos backup files. Now those restored programs are there on my Windows 7, but I cannot activate them. Is there anybody who can help me with my problem. Is there any application that can convert old program to Windows 7 64 bit ?

You can't just backup applications from one OS and restore them on another one; although this will copy program and data files it will not recreate registry entries. You need to reinstall the applications from the original program CDs.

Check out this link. Its for the Windows 7 compatibility center and will be able to tell you if your programs are just broken or if they are not compatible with Windows 7!
