Dear Wise Friends,
I have an HP iPAQ 5555 running windows 2003. At home (or if I'm out and
about and able to pirate someone else's wireless network) I have no problems
connecting. However, if I try to sign on to a wireless hotspot (e.g.
swisscom eurospot or BT openzone) the machine seems to connect OK, but on
opening Pocket Internet Explorer I am unable to open any page (including the
hotspot provider's sign-on page): the error message is "The page cannot be
found". This is a mite frustrating.
Is this a PIE problem ? I have tried fiddling with every setting I can
find, to no avail. Is it a SSL/scripts problem ?
Anyone know a workaround ? I could use NetFront but it's a lot slower than
PIE.

Hi
I've got this problem too. Connects with my laptop just fine, although
I've not yet tried NetFront.
As with Mark, WiFi on my iPAQ 5550 works fine at home.

It worked fine for me at Mineappolis airport (not what I'd call the
moslt salubrious spot for wifi browsing) - it just connected to
'concourse' and I could browse all the airline info pages and airport
maps.
Cheers, hope it works out - Neil
