Hi all,

I just burned a VCD using Nero Ultra 6.0 and it doesn't seem to work on my
Sony DVD Changer (DVP C6500). The DVD player just says "NO DISC".
Initiallly I tried using CDRs with no luck then after reading up stuff on
the net I tried using CDRWs but that didn't seem to make a difference.

The source files are AVIs dumped from a Sony MiniDV camcorder using Adobe
Premier, that seems fine.
I converted the AVIs to MPGs using a freeware, avi2vcd, it creates an mpeg
file that is accepted by nero. When I tried using another software to
create VCD files Nero rejected them as "invalid video CD file" or something
like that.

Anyone have any suggestions? I have yet to try this on another DVD player
other than a Sony but both my DVD players are Sonys so it would be a pain if
I couldn't use them.

Thanks!

Kevin

Kevin,
Does the finished vcd play correctly on your computer drive with a software
dvd player?
If so, then the next step is to test it on another dvd player, most older
one's had problems with home made vcd's to begin with, so it might not be
anything you're doing that is wrong.
Also try a different brand of CD-RW, with a different dye color, it might
help.
