I want to connect (remote desktop) to a computer running Windows 2000 Server that is connected to a Linksys wireless network router(the serveris wired directly to the router). The system is on cable (broadband)
I want to be able to use my notebook (running XPpro) to connect to the network server remotely using remote desktop.
The server presently is only being used as a web server with FTP also enabled.
I am not sure what VPN setup entails on the windows 2000 Server platform as I don't know where to get this information.

You won't need a VPN to get access to the Terminal Server operating in
Administration mode on the Win2K server.
Take a look at Al's Linksys page for information on how to set up your
router
(http://members.cox.net/ajarvi/RemoteDesktop/Multiple_PC_RD.html).
Ignore the Multiple RD server parts...
