This pisses me off. We are starting to sell our nation to the highest bidder. Yet, there are those who are worried about 'gay rights', 'religious freedom', 'entitlements'...when really, they are gonna lose more than the shirts on their backs. Wake up people, all of you. This is a bloody damned war we are in. I keep saying to myself: Al Qaeda, terrorists, extremists are not our worry to national security. It is China, their government and our government. They are both a threat to National Security!

If Obama or his administration blocked it someone would say they are anti free trade or anti big business. Didnt you want Government to have as little do with private enterprise as possible?

Technically the Federal Reserve is not a government entity they are a private bank.

I would also like to reiterate that Im not really down with this but banks are such a fickle bunch. Also Im glad about Obama's stance on gay marriage, political timing but he will at least be on the right side of history.

Apparently our government can't do anything to the Fed. And the Fed, nor our government is looking out for our best interest. Of that you can be sure.

Also, China IS NOT a friend of the United States. You can be sure of that too.

This reminds me of that commercial where the Chinese guy is lecturing the room of young students/workers and one asks about the U.S. He answers, "we don't worry about them anymore, they work for us now" or something to that effect.

The free market economy is the failed idea here ... put back the trade tariffs ... jack up the tax on imports from countries who use slave labour ... balance the scales.

The best way to beat the chinese overlords fom taking over is to restrict trade with them ... their economy will spiral out of control in 6 mths ... yours will not.

Forget trade embargoes like with Iran ... impose tariffs.

No I'd just be happy to be Obama's spin doctor ...

I'd start by taxing every religion ... and outlawing a few cults.

I'd hire out a few suites on those aircraft carriers for adventure tourists ... impose import tariffs on non-aligned countries.

Heavily subsidise local manufacturering .. start a buy US campaign ... diversify manufacturing bases back into the areas where unemployment is high ... small engines ./ parts in detroit for instance ... but look at the spread of where people are living vs housing vs factories etc.

Then I'd reenergise maths / science / engineering studies by subsidy ... then back off the H1B.

I have lots of ideas.

I quite like our solar subsidy ... plus once fitted the govt buys the solar power you produce ... I'd go a lot further by banning low efficiency fridges / freezers / aircons / ovens / washing machines. I'd tax v8's and subsidise smaller engine cars that are locally designed of course.

I'd offer better medicare byt tax everyone 2% pf their wage for free healthcare.

school would be free ... university paid by taxation once you graduate ...

I'd also partol the Mexican border and shoot anything that attempts to cross without authority though ... I'm no pussy.

I'd align all states with the Federal law ... uniform laws wrt licensing etc

Company tax would increase though ... sorry.

New Small business would get tax concessions (pay no payroll tax) for the first 2 years ... and be eligible for a no interest loan for renting premises ... not sure but something tangible to assist them getting started.

Large companies would be required to offer a set amount of new traineeship / cadetchip / apprenticeships but not pay payroll tax on new staff in these areas provide they are FT jobs and run a set time (1, 2, 4 years).

Unions would be required to declare all spending ...

State and Federal agencies would have strict budgets ... all senior Public servants who are CEO's would be on performance salaries ... come in under budget or get fired ... all executives with departments the same.

Regulate healthcare and force Insurance to accept anyone benefits, no matter their condition.

Small enterprise will get a tax holiday for 5 years, 3 if they exceed 6000% marginal value.

Have all troops return home and start a drug and immigration task force. Hell if we are paying these guys to patrol, have them do it here.

Take total collected tax revenue and give1% to each agencies budget. when the opt is empty, they must operate off that amount given.

Only provide funding to natural science projects in education. Arts can collect what is left over.

Criminalize the political party system.

Criminalize lobbying, PAC's, and non-individual funding.

Every election, runners get a share of a pot. If voters of a state put 3 million dollars into the pot, and there are 3 candidates, then each candidate must operate at 1 million each. This goes for prez too.

Two words...Term...limits. People are too scared to vote the airheads out. So, have the Constitution do it!

Shut down the NSA, TSA, and reduce the Dept. of Def. Have the FBI train body readers to spot suspected terrorist. No more airport screening. Ask three questions. If they act weird...additional screening.

Deregulate the Internet. ( Only form of deregulation I can officially support.)

Train the American people how to handle criminal activity. If they spot, suspect, or are involved unwillingly in a plot, teach them how to handle it.

All politicians will work at the federal minimum wage salary. Work 12 hours a day for 7 days for 40 weeks. They must at least pass a bill every week or they get their money sent back to the taxpayers.

Any politician can be removed by referendum.

All social issues must be dealt with at the state level: eg: Abortion, Gay rights, Religion, Gunz, Environment, etc...

There should be a public forum in every major and minor city where people can stand and talk about their issues for about 5 minutes each. 24 hour access.

My bullsh!t may be badly misguided ... I found 4 different results from 4 different sites.

I will retreat from this discussion OMG as I simply became confused and bewildered at just how complex the tax issue is ... making it so hard to compare.

We need an accountant to sort this one out ... in the meantime I declare a truse ... to give you time to sharpen your pitchfork.

 

They only bad thing about raising tariffs on Chinese imports is everything that U.S. companies make is made in china. We would be hampering our own economy. Like it or not the Chinese and U.S. economies are intertwined to the point of no return.

No ... it would energise US manufacturers in that they would be better able to compete on price.

Rey, the chinese economy is unstable just like the US. If one of us falls, the whole damn world goes down with us. It would be smart if the chinese govt would not tie their currency to the dollar.
