Hi there,

I have a home network setup of 5 windows xp pc's. one shares the cable
modem using ics. i have added a Wireless Acess point to the machine
that shares the internet connection, when connecting to the AP from my
laptop it connects, but doesnt assign an ip adress so i dont get ics
or network access through the AP. The software for the AP is very
limited and there doesnt seem to be any support on thier website. Am i
dong something wrong ?
Any Help will be appreciated.

Shawn

Hi

You have to change the IP of the AP so it would fit the IP assignment to
ICS, and disable the AP's DHCP.

However 5 computers and Wireless really Shouting: "Please Get us a Wireless
Cable/DSL Router".

The page above was written by me ages ago. You might ignore the prices and
Brand recommendations. The principles however are still the same.
