how to open vp6 files?

I need to see the video files in the movies folder of Need for speed
underground 2. These are "Vp6 encoded Avi files" that I try to open
win media player, winamp and vlc but my attempt was non succesful. So,
how can I open these file?
p.s. Sorry for my bad english

Go to www.on2.com and download the VP6 codec. Then WMP should be able
to play back the files.

You need the vp6 codec installed,
