premiere 6.0 color balance

Hi can anyone please help. I am a neophite at premiere and editing in
general. I have worked my way through most of my problems but I am
stuck on how to use the color balance effect. Please give me step by
step "child" directions. I am able to get to the effects and set the
color I want I am just unable to change the timeling to that choice and
then save it. Thanks Rod

By timing of that choice do you mean you want to have the color balance
change over a few seconds or minutes? If so that would require keyframing
and as I remember that wasn't an option for that video filer in Premiere
6.0. I may be corrected by someone who remembers Premiere 6.0 better.
Premiere 6.5 was the version that began to offer greater flexibility in
keyframing of filters and effects. If I have the wrong idea of what you are
trying to achieve set me straight.
