I am currently running my filters in this order and was hoping for
some feedback on the correct order.

1. Flaxen VHS filter (default settings)
2. Smart Smoother HQ 2.11 (default settings)
3. NRS by Antonio Foronna (only temporal smoother enabled)

I also have these filters but havnt experimented with them much since
Im not all the familiar with them yet. And I dont really know what the
differences are. Dynamic noise reduction 2.1 by Steven Don and 2d
cleaner optimized by Jim Casaburi.

If anyone can recommend a better combination or order for me to run
these filters in that would be really appreciated.

thanks...Jeremy

As long as your input isn't interlaced, then that order should work fine.

My input is a VCR tape using composit input from FlyVideo3000 card?? I
think that is interlaced isnt it?

You tell me.
If you are capturing in an interlaced format, I wouldn't recommend using
any filters that operate in a 2D manner within a frame.

Best bet would be to surround such filters with an "unfold" deinterlace
before and "fold" interlace. For example, my settings for processing
video for DVD output is:

Temporal Cleaner
Deinterlace (unfold)
Smart Smoother HQ
Deinterlace (fold)

Should not spatial smoothers (as SS HQ,do not know Flaxen)
lay behind temporal smoothers ?
