Archived from groups: rec.video.desktop (More info?)

I have an MSI GeforceTI2 with VIVO and was wondering what your experience
has been say, converting Hi8 home video to DVD compatable format? I used to
have a Matrox card with dedicated processing on card and I thought if you
wanted decent capture that on card processing was the way to go. But with
faster processessors perhaps this isn't the case anymore.

Any experience or suggestions with this is appreciated -
