FCP supports HD in general, but the fx1 and jvc cameras are HDV, a
specific type of HD footage. FCP fully plans to support it, but at
this second, you can not edit the footage directly with FCP. That
should change within weeks, look for the news at NAB in April.
Meanwhile, there are still ways you can use your FCP for HDV footage.
Look at the Lumiere system, very cheap, and it works.
