Pick up the AWM sniper rifle from the guy you killed when you went
through the door onto the roof and shoot it with that. Try to get a
few shots as it takes off before it starts shooting back. Don't bother
with any other guns. Watch your health there are loads of health packs
lying around. When it is in the clouds just shoot at it's shadow, you
don't need to fully see it to hit it.

Thanks for the help. I was getting tired of getting blown up and wanted to
make sure I wasn't missing something (besides the jet itself). I wasn't sure
if I could shoot the tail before it took off so I'll go and give it a try.
