I have two computers in my household. Both have counter strike on
them. I bought two different CD keyes... the steam program wont let
me in the same server on both computers.
I understand this question has been asked before but it is very
confusing...it seems everyone has a different method of making it
work.
Not knowing much about networking... how can I get it so both my
counter strike games will work at the same time?
Can someome post a un-confusing... laymans terms... step by step...
"for dummies" way to solving my problem?

Although this wont help you, I have the same set up here, 2 PC`s a lap top
and 3 copies of half-life (for the keys) and one router. The set up here
runs fine, all I did was install STEAM on both comps and lap top ensuring I
used each different key on each of the computers, I have had no problems.
When you attempt to join a server that the other computer is connected to,
what message do you get for not being allowed to join?

Your router has a built in firewall. You need to RT*M and access the Admin
options to open some ports.
