I'm trying to use Remote Desktop Connection on WinXP SP2 to connect to a
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. Under Sound, I've checked the option to
"Bring to local computer".

When I try to play a sound on the remote computer, I get errors which vary
depending on the application trying to play the sound. If I go to control
panel and look at my Sounds and Audio Devices, I can see that Microsoft RDP
Audio Driver is active. If I run DXDIAG, and click on the button to Test
DirectSound, I get the following error:

DirectSound test results: Failure at step 3 (DirectSoundCreate): HRESULT =
0x8878000a (The request failed because DirectSound resources, such as the
priority level, were already in use by another caller.)

I've tried the Test DirectSound with all different levels of Hardware
Acceleration including None and all

Does anyone know what could be happening here?

Regards,

Troy..
