I have an AverMedia 550 PCI tuner/capture card, and am having some
strange problems with video capture.

If I record straight from their TV application, it works just fine, and
the video quality is very good. No problems.

If I use their Scheduler utility to define a recording at a specific
time/date/length, the recording starts out at an acceptable quality,
but over time it degrades (pixellates) to the point of unwatchability.
It happens *only* when I use the scheduler.

This has rendered the setup almost useless for my primary purpose -
recording events as you would with a VCR - and I'd greatly appreciate
any help or suggestions.

Hardware particulars:

Celeron 2.66 Ghz CPU
512MB RAM
2 Maxtor drives, 120 and 160 GB, acoustic management OFF
DLink wireless PCI adapter
ATI 9200 video card
Windows XP Pro SP1
52X generic CD-ROM
Lite-ON DVD burner

Thanks,
David Whitney
