I'm having a few beers and chilling 8) ways! Bernard Hopkins takes on Riddick Bowe and its the replay of a Tuesday night fights [Friday night here].

Any of the crew dig boxing? There's nothing like two grown men in a ring testing each other, except of course, a group 1 horse race. 8)

And except for a Duke vs UNC basketball game in Cameron Indoor....or about 45 millionoher things...lol

boxing is alright, but nothing that i am into. I will watch a good fight but i am not hardcore....i can't watch bad boxing.

btw gonzaga and Washingtonare playing well this year....Washington having TWO teams that are good is shocking.

Hey Picxxxxsy!!! Good to see you mate. :D

Boxing is an art. Its thuggery, sure, but its an art nonetheless.

Mate, college basketball except for Andrew Bogart rarely, if ever, makes coverage over here.

Lennox Lewis vs Mike Tyson in their last bout was good and Lewis went to work on him which was cool.

What are you up to? Its like early am there right?

Reply to BomberBill

It just rolled over from PM to Am here....its now 00:08 for me

I just got home fro work, made 4packs of romen noodles....a little Mt dew and watching THe wedding crashers.

UNC vs Duke Basketball is INSANE in Cameron indoor....the arenea is so loud....110+ Db's that like a rock concert or a leaf blower in your ear for 35min.....the temps before the game and crowd get in are around 70, and can get above 115 durring OT.... Its a crazy place to play and when they play UNC it takes on a wholenew level

You're more on my time - its 6:30 pm here. Shite mate, you get home from work late, eh?

B'Ball eh? Thats cool. I understand the fanaticism that drives in the US. Kind of like College football, eh?

I cant wait to visit America. I definitely want to see a college football game but by the sounds of it I'm missing the action if I dont see a College B'Ball game too.

Noodles and Mountain Dew.  Focking hilarious. I'm sinking a few tubes of Carlton Cold - gotta keep my kilojoules up, bud!

I'll order Thai out later for a feed.

Picxxx your posts really caught my attention last night. I honestly thought they were hilarious. I've never met anybody so candid with their family flaws! Superb to see, mate.

What music do you listen to?

Reply to BomberBill

You're off talking to that hot girl of yours aint ya'?

A BIG 8) to you mate if you are. :P

Reply to BomberBill

I listen to a lot of stuff.....Alternative rock, hard rock, hiphop, classic rock, Oldies, jazz, classical sometimes....I listen to anything thats good.

I like a band from the Uk called Funeral For a Friend....Me Likey a lot.

I am honest about anything, i dont lie....there is rarely a need to. My family is way messed up, but wether you know of not....they are still messed up. So who cares if you know?

If you come to America yu have to go to a GOOD college football/basketball game......spend some money and get tickets to a Mich v Ohio St, or some massive rivalry....and for basketball get tickets to DUkE v UNC at duke....the tickets may be like $125 on ebay but i would pay twice that much if i lived near there.

Reply to pickxx

Whoa, whoa, whoa... $125 for seats!!! I'd rather get drunk in the parking lot and try and hook up trailer sex with some Milf!

Whatever happened going to the game for $10 plus your ticket got you a free heavy beer on entry? Fockin' corporatisation of amateur sports clubs is what.

Nah, thats cool. I'd be a big fockin' tourist if I go to those games so like any tourist I could not give a fist-arsed-fock if I pump some foreign currency into the local economy.

But Picxxy you gotta promise me that you'll hook us up with the cheerleaders afterwards, you know. No shite either, we jam up, get drunk and enjoy the game and then afterwards we roll to one of these US house parties I hear so much about - hmm, did you ever see that movie American Pie? I really, really, dig the foreign exchange chick in that movie so lets hook up the Finnish or Welsh chicks at the game and roll along to that after-burner party!!!!

I tell you something though. I'd love to watch a Auburn Tigers and Bama game and sit between Phuks and Aub. Truly, I would dig that hardways. I'd love to hear the running commentary: 'That focker is holding!'; 'Roughing the Passer Ref', on a Bama Linebacker; etc. you get the picture.

I really love those college tarts in the US who follow football. There's something gritty about that and I dig that shite good, you know.

Reply to BomberBill

I really dig early 90s alternative [Pearl Jam and Nirvana etc.] and then in the late 90s I started mixing Hard House tracks on an amateur level because I used to Rave a heap [without drugs]. I played 'The Beat' Nightclub in Brisbane Aus for a year but grew sick of it as I wasn't a drug head and every focker in that joint was off his face every single night.

I still spin at hhuk.net but under a pseudonym. Of course, mixing HH tracks is dead focking easy but I dig it nonetheless.

Ironically, it was not until I left the club scene that I started to experiment!

Big :) :) s

I would love to go to a UNC DUKE game but tickets arn't cheap and i am not near there.....i will someday, hopefully when they are both top 5 teams....that would be crazy good.

The actual tickets are only like 15-20bucks but people buy stacks of them and then sell them on ebay or something for 500-1500bucks...lol

Jeez, if thats not enough to turn a man of the cloth then I'm a Ghazoo from the African Jungles in Botswana!

Top class, yet again Picxxx! :D

What focked me off most about that film was that the lead character did not have a crack at this chick! Let me tell you, if it was ole' Bomber and the choice was open like it was in the movie then I can tell you I wouldn't be at fockin' band practice trying to score up with some tart who was known as the town dropkick.

Get into the foreign gig, I say!!!

Of course, the most liked charcter in that film was the 'Stiffler' or whatever he was and wasn't because he was a gentleman was it?

Reply to BomberBill

I do what i can to help you out....and so you will forget tha fugly cheerleader

Reply to pickxx

Absolutely not! That broad is tops all round! Do I need to re-post that glorious pic to open your eyes!

She's tarty, busty and dead sexy and thats how I dig em'. None of this 'refined' looks.

Reply to BomberBill

Cool. I watched the Buster Douglas - Tyson bout there other day on ESPN Classic.

Reply to Auburn9698

Hey hey! I knew you would come through, Aub.

Bud I missed it, how did it go down.

Fockin't Tyson. What a machine. He let himself go and lost the whole gig for a while but then I put more respect to the man after he fought Lewis in a tough but gritty Heavyweight title bout.

Now Evander Hollyfield - mate he was a boxer of heart! Master class all round!

Reply to BomberBill

That's the one where Tyson finally went down. Was quite the stunner.

Reply to Auburn9698

There's nothing like heavyweights going to work on one another. Lightweights can box and their power is good etc. but a crushing blow from a 220lb plus muscle machine is what really sinks the boat for most. You just cant argue with a prime-time Lennox Lewis left hook.

Reply to BomberBill

I saw Ali at his training camp before his first Fraiser fight!!!!! Man, you talk about a heavy weight with power!!!! I've never seen anything like it!!!!! When he worked the heavy bag, you could feel the thump in your chest!!!!!! He did his jump rope thing & to this day, I've never seen anything like it!!!! But when he put the silver dollars on the back of both his hands, what a show!!!!! That was soon after he won Olympic gold!!!!!

Still is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in sports!!!!!!

Reply to RCPilot

RC you've just won the THGC :trophy: OF THE DAY!

You're not kidding, that's one day in sports that I would have given anything to see.

Very, very 8) .

They reckon Big George Foreman could go to work on the bag too, eh?

Reply to BomberBill

I always felt that Forman couldn't carry Ali's jock strap..... He came along after Ali was done, really.... Forman was Ali's sparing partner at one time.... No, he didn't want any part of Ali when he was in his prime.... At least that's how I felt back then........

Reply to RCPilot

My Dad & Uncle went to Sonny Liston's training camp..... Now that's going back there!!!!!!!

Reply to RCPilot

You're probably right there, RC. But BIG George was no slouch and it was in Africa that the young George was really outclassed by an older, wiser, Ali. I just love the footage of George working the heavy bag before his fight with Ali in Africa.

When I think about it, you are definitely right on with that RC. Those years away from boxing for Ali during Nam were prime years.

Reply to BomberBill

Oh he was good after that.... But he was great as Clay in the Olympics.... In those years, you couldn't hit him in the ring..... Float like butterfly & sting like a bee!!!!!! It was true!!!! He was one bad ass heavy weight!!!! I'm from the camp that has him down as the greatest of all time, so far!!!!

The heavy weight division has gone down hill every since, in my mind.... Cable ruined the fight game...... They had fights on 6, 7 days a week & there wasn't enough talent to have that many quality bouts.... So I've stopped following boxing because of it.... I remember how it was before cable......

Reply to RCPilot

Yep, he was the greatest and the man told us so too eh!

The corporatisation of sports does not always work out and you're spot on with cable boxing.

I think they've learned a few lessons though. Vegas has the action these days though. There's a fight on there all the time.

Sonny Liston!!!! :) :) :)

You know what I love about the boxers of the 50s and 60s: they all had awesome boxer's names. Sonny Liston, Smokin' Joe Frazier, George Foreman, etc. etc.

Now we've got the Butterbean!

Reply to BomberBill

He backed up what he said.... I loved it when he said he was pretty!!!!!

Reply to RCPilot

The man could shak n' bake, no doubt about it. If he said he was going to go to work on you then he put the rhetoric to good pracical use and dished out a whoopin'!

Unbelieveable fighter and I could only imagine what it was like to see him live.

I really dug the Atlanta games opening with Ali. Great touch!

Reply to BomberBill

One thing I'll never forget about Ali, is those black of his.... When he looked at you, he looked inside of you... At least that's how it felt to me.... He looked right at my soul... I've never had that feeling around anyone else I've ever been around.....
