Am I the only one having a problem with a Logitech mouse? Since I built my new system, I've had nothing but hit and miss when it came to assigning the middle mouse button on my MX700 Logitech mouse to functions in games. You see in EVERY game that has a "reload" function for the gun, I ALWAYS bind that to the middle mouse button (the wheel, pressed down). With my MX700, more and more games don't even recognize the middle mouse button. Farcry doesn't recognize the button nor does Painkiller demo, nor UT2004 or any of the Spliter Cell releases. My Intellimouse Explorer from MS NEVER exhibited this problem, just my new Logitech mouse. Any ideas anyone? Or can I expect this problem to plage me as it does now in 30% of the games I try?
*note: this problem happens both with the mouseware software running in the background and when it is shut down as well.

You have ruled out any possible hardware problem? (Is your mousewheel working with windows, like your browser? is the button working when you press it in windows?)

I have a 5 button mouse and FarCry recognizes all of them. Some older games do not (they don't recognize my two buttons on the side of the mouse). Never had problems yet with the third mouse button.

I'm just guessing here, but have you gone to the mouse setup and set the middle mouse button to be the middle mouse button (no kidding).

yeah guys. middle mouse setup already. and all buttons work outside of games (except when I disable the mouseware software in the taskbar). so it's quite frustrating. I remember my Intellimouse by MS didn't even need seperate drivers other than what Windows XP supplied and their middle mouse button worked. hmm, maybe i should uninstall mouseware drivers and completely remove my mouse and let windows install it and go from there. hmm.

Make sure you have the latest version installed as well.
