You really should. Just moving the folder and recreating the shortcuts
won't fix any relevant registry keys. Some apps can be moved that way,
but you have to know which can and can't. Safest bet is to
uninstall/reinstall.

This would surely be the best way. There is some hacking that you can do
like copying the application and then using the PC to edit the shortcuts in
\Windows\Start Menu\Programs, but some of these programs point to the
software also in Registry Entries and this can create problems.
