My understanding is Digital8 is a proprietary consumer Sony format using 8mm
tapes.
I wasn't aware of a professional grade camera in that format. I own a
consumer grade model and use it for shooting small scale productions for
clients. It also has analog pass-through which I use if I have to digitize
an analog source like a VHS tape.
If you're talking 3-CCD, it's safe to assume you're thinking high-end,
pro-sumer or professional grade video.
Big price difference.
What are you intending to do?
