Hi,
halflife always crashes on my computer when trying to precash the resources
of dust2 on my favorite server. There occur two following addressing errors
before the programm ends. But just CS crashes, Steam is still running and
able to start a new instance of CS. I can play the map on every other server
i have visited. reinstalling of cs didn`t do anything. Any ideas what the
problem could be. Any others of my friends can play the map on that server
without any problems.

Try deleting your copy of the dust2 map. When you connect to the server, CS
will re-download it so the copy on your PC and the one on the server will
match.

That correct. Unfortunately, dust2 isn`t stored in the maps folder. i think
it is somewhere in the cache files. (?) The map itself seems to be ok,
because it is loading without problems on other servers (?)...

DOH !
Of course it's in the cache, along with the other "standard" maps. I use a
lot of custom maps, and forgot that ...
You could ask the server admin to purge and refresh the server cache files.
It's unlikely he'll want to tho, it's a lot of time downloading ...
