I am having trouble with XP remote desktop. When I remote in I connect &
login fine but just get a blue screen - no desktop. No keyboard or mouse
input is accepted. Back on my desktop my monitor appears in 'no video' mode.
When I press the shift key to 'wake up' I get the my desktop is locked msg
and then my remote session starts working.

Have you checked to see if the video drivers are up to date?

I applied the latest video and bios updates. I am using a IBM Netvista w/ a
NVIDIA Vanta video card. No improvement.

What video settings are you specifying in your RD client options? Try
dumbing them down.

Changing the client video resolution or color doesn't help. I suspect my
problem is in the hardware or the video driver. On many systems you hear and
see an audible 'click' when the system change video modes. In this case I get
the 'click' but the new video mode doesn't show until I press the shift key -
to prompt it I assume.

The change in video mode I am referring to comes when system locks the
system because I am remoting in.

I am having the same problem. I've upgraded to the latest NVidia
drivers, yet it has made no difference.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
