I gave up on getting my PC CARD to work on my notebook. I got the notebook for $20 P100/32mb/800mb/12.1in Seems the PC Card wont work for the BaseT ethernet. Is there another way to network it like Serial Port or Parrell Port ??? Im just hooking it up to my athlon rig so i can update it. Any ideas or answers plz give a reply.

thx,
ryan

You will find it in Add/Remove programs, Windows setup, Communications tools.

Even if you get the serial port to work, serial connections are extemely slow. I don't really know a good solution, but getting that 10BaseT card to work is your only decent option in my opinion.

serial ports work around 100k. Thats good enough besides its a P100 and a serial cable is most likely cheaper

You're right.
"Modern PCs can exchange data over the serial port at rates up to 115 KB/s, but this will translate into a maximum data rate of about only 11.5 KB/s without parity and 10.5 KB/s with parity due to the serial communication protocol overhead."
I should have looked it up first.
