wintv 150 video delay..

Hi all,

I just purchased and installed a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 PCI tuner. I
mainly bought it to watch tv on my desktop, didnt really need PVR
capability but thought it would be nice to have.

However, now it would be very convenient to play my Gamecube on my pc
as well. So when I try to do this, there is a two second delay between
the gamecube control and the screen update, the same delay occurs when
changing channels on my cable box. Now I have read that this is due to
the mp2 encoding delay.

So, should I give up on trying to play console games on this thing?
Should I purchase something else instead? Maybe a cheaper card without
the PVR? If so I still have a chance to return this card..
