I have bought a DV CONVERTER PLEXTOR PX-M402U for converting VHS tapes
to burn onto DVD. It seems to work pretty good. I had a Dazzle DV80
that I couldn't get the audio to work properly.

My question is how can I get the best quality video on DVD. I have an
external 200gb HD so space is not a big issue.

Here are my capture options
- MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 with DVD HQ
- DIVX and MPEG-4
- DIVX Home Theater
- MPEG-4 HQ

Here are my Output to file options:
- DVD HQ
- DV AVI
- DVI
- DVII
-DIVX
- Home Theater
- Windows Media
- WMV

Also, it appears that only WINDVD Creator will recognize the Plextor
device.

NeroVision Express 3 version 3.0.1.27 now supports Plextor's ConvertX M402U.
I've captured several of my VHS collection without a problem. Prior to
Nero, I too had to use WinDVD Creator 2. It doesn't seem like rocket
science to add the connectivity to existing applications, but the motivation
to build, test and distribution is probably only now beginning to happen.
I'm hopeful that all the major capture/authoring apps will recognize
Plextor's excellent products...soon.
