I have a need to have a digital camcorder tape on the miniDV and
provide a live feed to a TV at the same time. Is that possible?

Though there may be some bottom-of-the-line consumer models that can't, most
digital camcorders can do this. My VX2000 certainly can.

More likely than not. But don't buy anything without
confirming if that feature is important to you.
