Archived from groups: alt.games.half-life.counterstrike (More info?)
I got this, and what I did was just unload Steam (in taskmanager if still
running), go into Steam directory in Windows Explorer and delete the file
"clientregistry.blob" - or whatever it is called (am at work).
When you reconnect to Steam, it will re-download this file and it should all
work after that!!
