I have a Dell PC with internal DVD player. I just bought a Sony RDR VX500
DVD/VHS recorder, which allows dubbing from a DV camcorder to the Sony's DVD
recorder via Firewire. Can I dub (copy) a DVD played on my PC to the Sony
DVD recorder via Firewire?

I believe it's possible, but I don't know how. Please help if you can. I'm
new at this, so please walk me through step by step if you will. I know I'd
connect the PC and Sony with the Firewire and put the DVD in the PC's player
and put a blank DVD in the Sony (duh) . . . but then what?

My purpose is to make copies of DVDs I burn on the Sony from my VHS tapes,
so that I can avoid having to create the disk names on multiple copies,
which is a slow pecking process on the Sony. Otherwise, BTW, I'm very happy
with the new machine.

Thanks very much!
