I know bigger is better but my desk top may not be big enough. I want to
purchase a new LCD monitor I edit with Pinnacle Edition. I am using one
19" CRT now that is too big for my desk top because it is so deep. I would
like to have a duel monitor setup but I think I only can go with two 17"
monitor or should I purchase just one wide screen LCD? Will 17 inch be big
enough? Would like to here from others on what they use. What brand and
model.

17in LCD is roughly the same real estate that you get from your 19in Crt.

I was in exactly same position as you and using Edition. I opted for two 17
inch LCD's (HP Pavilion). Best decision I ever made provided you have a dual
monitor graphics card. You can spread out the Pinnacle screens as you want,
I have the timeline on one monitor and keep most of the rest on the other
but you have a lot of choices. It is a joy being able to swing windows from
one screen to the other and that doesn't only apply to the editing.
