Remote Assistance Failed. Please Try Again.

I get this error when I click on the 'Invite someone to help you' link. I am
running XP Home SP2. The problem is when I right-click My Computer, and go to
the 'Remote' tab, the 'Allow' box is unchecked (but not grayed out). I check
it, click 'Apply', and it stays checked. I then click 'OK'. If I go back into
the properties, the box is no longer checked.

Other things to note... I am running this on a laptop using a wireless
router. I also am running the XP Firewall, but the options to allow Remote
Assistance and Remote Desktop are both checked (and the 'Don't allow
exceptions' box is NOT checked).

Anyone have any ideas here? This is a laptop I use from home, and I am set
up as the Administrator on the laptop.
