When I start Splinter Cell PT this message appears:

GetDeviceCaps failed(D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE) on adapter 0.

History: GetDeviceCaps <- UD3DRenderDevice::Init <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

And when I start FarCry the FarCry picture appears but after that nothing happens.

Does anyone know why? I want this new cat version because I think it fixes a problem with shadows in SC PT.

You have more problems that anybody I know. Uninstall AOL.

I uninstalled AOL instant messanger. The 2 games still won't start.

What does AIM have to do with this?

I think he was making a joke... AIM has nothing to do with it.

You have a serious graphics device problem.

it works now, I had to go in add/remove programs and delete both drivers. I deleted the driver from control panal before, that's why it didn't work I think.

Now I have to install AIM again.
