Accessing shares through IR connection

HI,

I established connection from notebook to my desktop both running XP
professional. I have logged and am able to see the desktop shares on my
notebook but am unable to read them. I am told that I dont have the network
permission for it. The user is adminstrator equivalent and is able to read
those folders on the desktop.

What could I be missing?
