Hi friends,

Im a new bie to the directshow, im using an NLE video
application where i want to make the mpeg4 compression. Im using the
"microsoft mpeg4 video codec 1" and "microsoft mpeg4 video codec 2". im
use the renderstream to connect the basefilter(codec) to the sink
filter. if i use the "microsoft mpeg4 video codec 1"
then it is connecting properly and iam able to make the compression. But
if i have to use the microsoft mpeg4 video codec 2, then iam getting
the hr as "undetermined error occurred". Do i have to change the
connect method? Help me out from these problem.

And also if try to compress a mpeg file using DIVX then the compressed
file is bigger than the original file.(Example i compressed 42 mb .mpg
file, but the output file .mpg is 55 mb) Is that a problem or it is
obvious????

thanks in advance.
