Can someone here recommend a very configurable Video recorder Screen
grab tool? Something that can be configured to output a variety of
video formats. (Including Quick Time sorensen3 would be a big plus)
I'm asking a lot of this tool; it needs to be able to perform light
editing of the resulting recording. Like chopping out parts or
lopping off extra silence at the end where it wasn't turned off in
time.
If that proves hard to find, then a second tool that is a light weight
*.avi editor, not a full NLE, but something similar to what Quick Time
pro can do with *.mov. Basic edits to *.mov files and save to the
same file.
I have tried a variety of downloadable trials and bought two.
CapturePad for example, can only output *.avi (for video formats) and
cannot be made to use certain codecs. Example being an onboard
Canopus DV codec, that never shows up in the list.
River Past recorder seems good and it can output a few formats, Divx
*.avi *.dv. *.wmv. But no quicktime.
Neither of the above has any editing or conversionn capability at all.
So, I'm hoping to hear from an experienced user who can vouch for a
tools usability.
