Is there any way to edit an MPEG2 (cut commercials out) and save it as an
mpg file with TDA ?

There is a round about way you could, by starting a new
project, and using the "Add DVD video" button. But you
could download the free TMPGEnc encoder and use the
    included MPEG Tools utility.

I assume that this to avoid spending the $50 for a frame
accurate MPEG Editor like VideoReDo. There are other
    free downloads at www.videohelp.com

    www.VideoReDo.com
