I have a PIII 650 MHz PC with 512Mb RAM that I would like to purchase a
TV tuner card for. Can anyone recommend one? I don't need to capture
video or rewind live TV...just watch basic cable TV.

Any TV Tuners with ATI Theater 550 Pro. It even has a hardware MPEG2
encoder. The Sapphire version is $83.

Go to eBay and do a search for "Wintv". Someone has been selling a
multitude of Wintv-Go cards there for $17.99 with free shipping. If you
only need it to watch TV, that's all you need.

Jen..I purchased the exact item you spoke of on ebay. Sounded like a
good deal. However, it does not include a remote. Does anyone know if
I can purchase a generic remote or do I need to purchase a Hauppauge?

I don't know if that card has a plug on the back for a hauppage remote
but you can buy the far superior Firefly remote or pick up any number of
older remotes like the old creative labs credit card remote. Just make
sure you get the IR receiver with whatever you find.
