Can someone help me with a problem I'm having when rendering edited AVIs?.

I get these pixelated frames made of colored squares. Sometimes they appear
as a quick flash, at other times they last a second or two. They happen
randomly anywhere in the file and there are no dropped frames indicated. The
original dv capture is fine.

I've captured a still image of what is happening and posted to the url
below.

I am using MSP Pro7 and encoding to MS DV type 1 (PAL)

Thanks
Mike

It normally means that there is not enough video bit rate to handle
fast movement on the video.
Try increasing the video bit rate.
Also check for a good connection with cables etc.

Do you have a P4 with hyper threading?

Install the Media Studio Pro service pack 2. The bad frames are a
hyper threading bug in version 7.0x.
