Hi,
I sure could use someone's help...
I am using PowerDirector 4.0 from Cyberlink. I have captured movies from my
JVC GR-D200U Digital Video camera in .avi format. The movies were
originally shot with 16-bit sound. When I preview the .avi files outside of
PowerDirector 4.0, they sound fine! When I import them into PD 4, they
sound fine from the preview menu, but after I drop them into the timeline
and try to view them, the audio portion sounds like everyone is talking in
slow motion. The funny thing is, even at this slow pace, the audio keeps up
with the video?!?
As a test, I shot another movie...only this time, I changed the sound on the
camera to 12-bit. Guess what? When I tried to play it back from the
timeline in PD 4, it worked fine?!? Has anyone else had this problem? I
hope there is a fix, because the vacation videos that I shot at 16-bit audio
cannot be replaced. I wrote to Cyberlink about the problem, but they were
no help...surprise, surprise!!!
