Does anyone know if Studio 9 has the same limitation as Studio SE
version 8.12.7.0 in that it I can't make DVDs longer than two hours?
I want to make 6 hour DVDs of C-SPAN2 Book TV programs and watch them
when I have more time. They are mostly "talking heads", so I can live
with very high video compression.
I tried lowering the data rate in Studio 8 SE in "make disc" to
give more compression, but it ignores me if I specified a data rate of
less than 3000 kbits/sec, and thus I cannot make DVDs longer than two
hours.
If I just want to make MPEG-2 files, Studio 8 SE accepts low data rate
values. I've made files as long as 11 hours long that can fit on a
DVD. The picture quality is OK for talking heads.
If I can't use Studio 9 to make long DVD's, is there a cheap
program to make DVDs from MPEG-2 files?
