so many things it could have been....and too many paranoid ppl listening in!

I think that this is one of these things where anything could have happened, but the rumour will be filed on the news wires before the investigators can file their official report. I would say that while you wouldn't want to not ask for straightforward answers on what happened, speculating wildly as to what happened might not be the best idea. Not that it's not going to happen. Ahh hell, who am I kidding? *steps out of the way of onrushing herds of rumour cattle*

...in other news, man discovers new species of cattle...

but the Others forum is all about speculating wildly......who's going to get laid next?.....who's wingding's next victim going to be?......what's going to happen to the next newbie that walks in here unaware?......who stole DH's brain and donated it to science?........

all very speculative questions with no real answer........ :D

Ahh, all too correct. Personally I think it was two people attempting to join the Mile High Club when it all went south. The general course of events, that is.

...hmm, I've been wondering how everything devolves into sex talk on here, but just there I saw the text box and it just seemed so natural. This place is like a blip on the radar of the rule that says "Eventually, every conversation mentions Hitler." Here it's "Sooner rather than later, every conversation mentions rodgering."

Reply to Aaron McKenna

I like rodgering Hitler.

well they do say that men think about sex every 5 seconds.....a new study now says that for women it's every 4....I can believe it.

no......seconds. Amazing huh?

They don't say how long they think about sex every 4 seconds.. And that means that they cannot be concentrated on something for more that 3 seconds max... Leave alone that they have to think about shopping more often...

Wow! I wonder if he was bluffing.

Dude, when I first joined here, somd kid in the graphics card section who knew everything there was to know about the 6600GT asked me if I'd been reported for having a user title called: BomberBill.

The kid was serious.

I think it's split second thoughts.....like you see a hot guy and imagine for a second what it would feel like to have his naked body pressed up against you.... .....or something like that.....

I see. I rather think about sex every 10 seconds, but for 9 seconds.. I'm not that quick ..

Not amazing at all. I don't know which one thinks about it more but it's damn close.

Tis a shame. But he was running up and down the plane or something screaming about a bomb and he wouldn't give up his bag or cooperate. Bummer for his wife.

awww....he had a wife? that's so sad!

Reply to qoop

It's only sad because he didn't have a bomb, but how were those poor Marshalls supposed to know that?

It's such a tragedy. Those officers had to kill a sick man, that guy is dead, and that wife lost her husband. I hope there were no kids.

There's already some people saying they should have subdued him instead of killing him. I'll bet those bastards didn't have loved ones on that airplane.

Most airports have a big sign that says "DO NOT JOKE ABOUT BOMBS OR ELSE"

Reply to dhlucke

It must have been a massive governemnt conspiracy to kill this person and to strike fear and doubt into all air travellers.

he had not taken his Meds, instead he took meds from US officials that were planeted to make him go mental (he was a super genius who would get rid of the need for oil as a kid)

so anyway, they shot him to cover up the truth of the universe and all that good stuff.

p.s. the above is totally BS and i don't believe any of it, i just wanted to stir :P

BBC said that the bomb comment was unsubstantiated, that the wife had said somthing about him no taking his meds and a previous metal illness. but said he had an argument and acted irratically while holding his bag trying to get to the door and get off the plane. (yelling and screeeming profanity at the time)

sounds like an unfortunate event triggered by a fast decision and a climate of fear. I don't think it was sinister, but i don't know how avaoidable it was, think of all the situations the marsals have chosen not to shoot people, it was bound to happen at some stage with the number of armed people on planes.

It's the better safe than sorry thing all over again. You gotta figure they can be safe rather than sorry 200 times and it'll still be worth it considering one stupid bomb will take out over 200 people.

Serves him right. One less silly fucker in the world. I'd like to see proof that he was actually mentally ill, rather than people just claim it as an excuse.

patient doctor confidentiality.....I'm not sure there will ever be proof unless the widow can bring in his perscription to the authorities.

Shouldn't be too hard for her then should it? Somehow I think it'll never materialise, as it smells like a crock of shit to me. Blaming anyone except her dumb fucker of a husband.

yeah, he could have just been dumb enough to test the system.....
